Live doesn't totally sync with Live on another computer

So, here is a discovery. I have Live taking external clock from Live on my drummer's computer. When doing live loops with my Moog, I noticed that sometimes warp markers would sometimes appear in my loops and sometimes not.
What I discovered was that if the tempo on my drummer's computer was in between whole numbers (ex. 88.76) that the tempo display in my copy of Live would go back and forth between 87 and 88. What it seems to me is that, if I am recording a loop while Live is trying to sync to the external tempo, it warps the loop I am recording. The loop sounds like it plays ok, but I wonder if the potential for a screw-up is in there somewhere. I also wonder if this could have any connection to the dreaded 1.3.3 loop issue.
Any thoughts if this is a bug or just the way things are?
