The utter cunts, taking the fucking piss.

They call it digital rights management. Well, what about my fucking rights? I do not like Coldplay but if I buy a CD I expect to be able to use it without it wrecking my computer or not playing. I prefer to keep my music in MP3 format on my laptop and iPods and this is no business of Sony's or Virgin's or whoever. They just distribute the music, for cunt's sake. Talk about delusions of grandeur.

Fuck them. Really. Fuck them with bells on.

In other somewhat related news, the neo-fascists in the RIAA have been caught bullying a witness to commit perjury. Why this isn't all over the news, I simply fail to understand. They're here to take our rights away so as to maximise their profits and they will stop at NOTHING (NOWT) to squeeze every last penny out of you.

Brave new world innit...

anything that can be heard can be recorded

people talk much and make many rules. let them do that otherwise theyll feel empty and powerless. but we, lets just live cause present is what we have. dont let anybody restrict you, thats what i think.

another reason to stop buying records from these idoits.
not too long ago sony got busted for having a rootkit with their DRM, that they didn't consider a big deal. It' rather long read but the outcome is rather amusing.

I hate sony with an absolute passion!!!

anybody remember them ripping off Underground resistance when they tried to release their awful cover of "knight of the jaguar" without permission.

It's old news but check this if you dont know the story

more like 1984. Brave New World would provide the music , and a shitload of mdma , free of charge. Not only that , we'd get laid afterwards with some seriously pneumatic babes.

two different distopias , brave new world is the more insideous because its the closer to utopia. 1984 is just out and out , foot-in-face , hammer-on-testicles

VERY IMPORTANT POINT

Nobody knows this or practices this, but these discs are not allowed to be stored with other Compact Discs on shelves of stores. Also they are not allowed to carry the famous "COMPACT DISC" symbol we all know because..

1) it does not conform to the ISO standard which COMPACT DISC logo is authorized for

2) by selling them on the same shelf as other CD's they are obfuscating the difference between COMPACT DISCs and this particular range of products, thus tricking the consumer into believing that they are indeed purchasing a COMPACT DISC whereas it is not.

did you just learn the word obfuscate today or something ?

the only way to stop this drm shit , is to start smashing the windows of all record shops who stock them. im up for it , whos with me ? if enough of us are into it we could set up a website to promote the idea.

its only us , the muling cabbages , who can affect change or prevent this filth from propogating

now that i think of it , it would certainly work.

in my town , there are about...hmmm...8 record stores. It would only take one determined person to post them a letter , stating clearly the evils of DRM , and giving them a week to stop stocking the filth.

the same determined person could then easily propell a rock through any shop window stocking said filth.

chances are theres more than one person in every town against this shit. not that hard to do. if there was even a smidgen of organisation , across europe , usa , wherever...it could be synchronised for added vavoomph.

im telling you , thats how to do it. i think i might do it.

hell , we can even openly talk about it all we want. its not enough to get us convicted unless they have substantial evidence to link you to the vandalism.

granted , it may be harder to do in some bigger cities , but if it happened in enough of the smaller ones - i believe it could be very effective , if the shop owner doesnt want his windows smashed , he wont spend his cash money on those foul discs

found two times where it was rather apt.

you fervent attitude toward the situation is nothing more than a savage display of activieties much at the same level of how the labels have been acting.

please do not condone violence here. .. some highly impressionable kid somewhere may actually listen to you and screw themselves.
