Hi folks, I once experienced a malfunction while freezing a track. Please note that the same track has already been freezed and unfreezed several times (ahh.. how awkward is that freeze function while mixing!!!!) with version 5.0.2 and I never encountered this problem: the freezing started veeery slowly and then almost hung up at 32%... in 6 minutes it arrived at 36% so I tried another time and got the very same behaviour... I restarted Live and while retrying to freeze I got another problem: Live hung so I had to close it from the task manager (and, by the way, on my system this almost always reboot my pc... ouch! do you experience the same behaviour?).
When rebooted and reloaded my set all seemed to go on properly.

i don't know if it's linked, but yesterday i've experienced something similar while rendering: sudenly Live got really slow, it took about 15min to render a track that i would normally render in a couple of minutes.
the strange thing was that in the task manger, Live was showing very low CPU, most of the time round 2%, and had sudden bursts at 30/50%, nothing huge.
i rebooted and everything was back to normal. :?

Thanks for your reply, I think it's probably related to my problem...
What's about the rebooting problem? Try to forcely close Live from the task manager: my laptop reboots!!! I see you own a FW410 and I fear it could be a drivers issue.

Thanks!
