Upgrade 5.0.1 -> 5.02/5.03 gotchas to watch for...

I hvae noticed that if you upgrade and install parralel multiple versions, the configuration file for later seems to get confused and and f.cked err screw up the settings for various things and change the behaviour( like no clip view).
There is a simple solution:
( Warning: this will clear all your defaults in the file browser, recent files and sound cards etc, plus youll need to enter the path to your vst's )
Make sure live is shutdown.. then....
1. Open a file window and Navigate to
C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\Ableton\Live 5.0.3\Preferences
2. In this folder, rename the Preferences.cfg file to Prefences.cfg.backup
3. Restart Live
If ableton refuses to start or things just get worse, at this point you can always copy the Prefences.cfg.backup file over the Prefences.cfg
For me, it meant I could use the clip functionality again(!!!) and the thing loads in a heartbeat compared to what it used to.
I would suggest going through this process every time you install an upgrade just to be sure and keep things lean and mean.
