problem when loading alc

i created a midi track, dropped an empty impulse, and dragged an alc impulse file in the arrangement.
the path of the impulse samples were wrong, so i went through the process of locating the samples. after i did that, no samples where shown in impulse, and no sound was coming out of it.
i did the same in session: dragged the alc on the same track. went through all the locating process again, same results: nothing.
then i dragged the alc in an empty space in the session view, went again through the locating process, and everything worked ok, i can now play my impulse.
bug?

Hi Pierre,

the general rule is that when an instrument .alc file is dragged on a track already containing an instrument it does not replace the instrument nor the current preset.
So the bug is that you actually get the missing sample box.

ok, but then
1. what if the instrument on the track is empty? it could be replaced, that wouldn't be a problem.
2. why do i have to locate all the samples when the end result is an empty instrument?

Yes, but it would depend on the instrument. For an Impulse or Simpler it could make sense in contrast to an Operator (which cannot be "empty").
But I see your point?

Currently this is the bug :). This box should not appear at all.
