Hi .can someone tell me the easiest way to make separate drum patterns using IMPULSE and sending them into the arrangement screen without having to record them.something similar to PROJECT 5where you can make separate patterns and then send them to track.THANKS.I cant seem to find it in the manual.

from what i understand of your question. all you have to do is make a pateern in session view then copy (CTRL + C) to arranger then paste in arranger (CTRL + V) on that same MIDI Track

just duplicate the first pattern in the sess view ( on a mac its apple + D ) then add notes to the duplicated one. then duplicate again, and add notes.... get the idea, then you can always go back to the original

separate drum patterns for impulse

One other option is to use a seperate midi track as it's own sequncing track. I have done this on occasion so I can separate my patterns by sounds. This is effective to change an individual pattern, such as a hh or bd rhythm, or to change up snare fills. To do this create a new midi track [ctrl+shift+T], and route it to the impulse, just as you would route midi to a program like reason. This also allows for separate control of all parameters such as velocity or any midi effects that you put on the new channel.
