Maudio Firewire 410 setup - Help!

Guys

I've tried my hardest, but I am yet to succeed:

1. I have installed the software on my mac
2. I have plugged up channel 1 with an analog 1/4 plug to RCA convertor
3. I have plugged up channel 2 with an analog 1/4 plug to RCA convertor
4. I have run a white/red RCA lead from the back of the convertors (sound card) into my Amplifier/Speakers..
5. I have fired up Ableton live
6. I can hear the tune through my headphones through the sound card (Master I'm thinking not cue)
7. Can't hear anything through the main speakers, but Channels' 1 and 2 are flashing on the sound card
8. When I open the maudio software control panel, there is 'activity' happening on channels 1 and 2.
9. Within live it appears to be playing, sound levels are up, but no joy.

WTF am I doing wrong... I've tried to read through that http://www.ableton.com/index.php?main=t ... b=tips0404 site, but I'm running version 5 and can only find the Audio section with input ouput, etc.

My config in there says..

Input Audio Device- Firewire 410
Output Audio Device - Firewire 410
Drivertype : Core Audio

Also in live, under the Master channel, 'cue out and master out' I can only select 1/2, 1, 2. Nothing else.

Have I got the wrong plugs in the back of the sound card? (i.e - convertors?)
I bought 2 plugs, they are 1/4 to RCA convertors.

??????

Not wanting to insult you, but you have plugged into "line outputs" and not "line inputs" right?

(sorry, i'm sure you have, but even the best of us occasionally do it wrong)

Yes, I have one RCA lead plugged into Channel 1.
The other into Channel 2.
Output signal is displaying green on the front, with 1 and 2 highlighted (on the front of the sound card)

still not getting any audio through my amp..
But I can hear it through the headphones! (which is plugged into the front of the sound card).

set cue out to 3/4 master out to 1/2, these can be found just above the master volume, if you cant see them ctrl+alt+I will bring it up. Now the button below that, next to The Master volume level indicator will say CUE, rather than SOLO, if it still says SOLO, then just click on it to change it to CUE.

You can now Cue your tracks, just set em to deck A or B and use the slider, then press on the headphone logo on the track mixer to cue. SORTED :D

if it dont work go into maudio soundcard control panel, and set Phones monitor to 3/4.

If that dont work, u done it wrong grr :)

Hi fsk, thanks for the reply.

I've got 1/2 assigned to Master Out, and 3/4 assigned to Cue Out. (in the master channel).
I can see activity going through both 1/2 and 3/4 channels.

Done the SOLO/Cue button toggle thing.

I've done something quite strange now, I can hear the metronome in the headphones, but no tunes! WTF have I done...
GRRR getting frustrated..

When I click the headphone icon on each track, shouldn't that route the cue to my headphones?

Maybe I have setup the control panel for MAudio wrong.
I have enabled listening (to headphones) for 1/2 3/4 in MAudio..
Should be 3/4 only right?
