Favs that I own(ed)??

-- Roland TR-808 (Classic. Butter. The "Rolls Royce" of drum machines. 'nuff said)
-- Elektron SIDstation (my bud, a longtime ARP 2600 owner said the SID was the only thing he's heard that has the same depth of character. Warm and fuzzy... it's ALIVE! Way more useful than you'd think and FUN to work with! Nasty, NASTY synth!!)
-- Yamaha DX7 (O RLY? yeah, really!! ;)
-- Yamaha FS1R (Programmers dream. An entire universe in a 1U box!)

Hardware I don't miss as much as I thought I might??

-- Waldorf MicroWave XT (Like everything else, a matter of personal preference. Suprised me that it was almost always little too gritty. It can sound "nice" but not "beautiful")

Hardware wish list - in no order of prefernece:

-- KORG MS-20 (Loads of character! Who needs "fat" when "skinny" sounds so good!! MS-20 + TR-808 = analogue heaven!)
-- Oberheim Xpander (Balanced design, sounds f**king GORGEOUS!!)
-- Roland MKS-80 + programmer (some say the JP-8 "sounds better" but I don't play keys or have enough room.)
-- FULL Roland System 100 (not the most "impressive" modular , just the sexiest!)
-- Access Virus Ti (just so I don't look like an old fart with all this analog! ;)

My next purchace??

-- Muse Research Receptor (not *really* hardware in some respects, but hey... it's rackmountable, isn't it?)

Got my sights on two more cheapies but until I get my mitts on 'em, it's a secret. I'll post and gloat when I pick 'em up off eBay! ;)

Peace!!

Really want a sample based Ensoniq keyboard or a Kurzweil K2xxx.

Ever program a K2xxx? Made by scientists for scientists, not musicians :) My wife had a K2600XS when we met, sounded great, but what a pain to program IMO. The triton walked circles around it in that aspect.

Until I can afford one I'll probably be using Pure Data (www.puredata.info) on Linux - draw your own conclusions :)

Triton doesn't really appeal to me... I want something older. Really got my eyes on the Ensoniq ESQ-1.

Mbreqs .. I didn't even have to open the thread, as soon as I saw your name as the latest post I knew you were gonna say the Andromeda.
Now you sold yours, would it make you jealous to say that the last studio I worked in I was using 2xA6's in the room?

:D
