My best mate and I used you buy all of our music equipment together, we had a pretty decent studio and stuff. Speakers, Mics, Mixer, Software, ETC...
Everything was going the way we wanted, however last month I had to go out of town for a couple of weeks, and when I got back he was gone... all the equipment was gone... but a note saying "I'm sorry dude".


Anyway
Even though we both pay for Live 5, he talked me into getting Live5 register under his name (I really trusted him). We installed live5 on two computers, thankfully he couldn't take one of 'em, because I had it.

I'm currently running Live 5.0.1, but would like to upgrade it to 5.0.3. As I have already said the copy is register under his name, hence I don't know if I'd be able to upgrade it or not... I don't even know if he's sold it or not... he probably did
My questions are...
Would I be able to upgrade it?
What if he sold it?

P.S- I still have the serial number

so far i know the licence is intended for one user only, not 2 or more.
I have my copy, my studio mate has his own.

imo you should be able to at least download all the updates, however I'm not sure about it.
