UC-33 Live 5 control problems -- Solved!

I have solved the issue mentioned below. . . it seems the problem was that I had inadvertently made a setting in the control surfaces area of the remote control surfaces option of the midi/sync preferences. When I changed the setting back to "none" all seems to now be working well. :)

I'm having big problems getting LIVE 5 file to read .als files correctly that were created in a earlier version of LIVE and that I had no previous problems with. Specifically, I have assigned the buttons on my UC 33 controller to fire scenes 1 through 9. However, only buttons 6 through 9 will respond properly.

When I open the Midi Map Mode I see the assignments are listed as follows: 1/19 for button 1, 1/20 for button 2, 1/21 for button 3 all the way through 1/27 for button 9, which is as it has always been and always worked well. Yet, when I attempt to fire scene one with button 1, the pan dial on audio track four moves slightly to the left, button 2 moves the pan dial on audio track five slightly to the right, button 3 moves the pan dial on audio track six to the left. I am not using more than six audio tracks and no midi tracks but I added two more audio tracks and the pattern continued -- button 4 moved the pan of track seven and button five the pan of track eight.

any suggestions?
