Can't Activate a 2nd Oxygen 8

I am chock full of problems these days (couldn't find the answer after searching the manual and this forum)...

I recently stumbled across a second Oxygen 8 Midi Controller. For this performance I'm about to do, I could really use the extra keys for extra buttons/knobs etc.

Since I already have the driver of my other Oxygen 8 installed, I figured I'd be able to plug and play with the second one. My goal is to have both recognized by Live at once.

But of course things aren't THAT easy. In my Midi Preferences under my Active Devices input it lists:

Computer Keyboard
[1X1] (Port1)
Keystation Series

When I've been using my one Oxygen 8, I've always set my Remote Control input to Keystation Series (which is my Oxygen 8) and it's worked fine. I guess maybe I expected it to list a second Key Station Series but that aint the case.

Anyone have 2 Oxygen 8's going on your powerbook?

I should mention that I AM using a USB Hub. And although this isn't reccomended, I've been doing it with both the DUO and the Oxygen 8 and it's worked flawlessly...

Thanks Again!

Alright, how about this more general question.

Do any of you have 2 of the same midi controller and use them both simulteneously within Live?

If so, were you able to just install one driver for them both and Live just recognized them both or was there something more involved...?

Thanks again...

Hi,

donno about your problem, but I purchased a BCR2000, and in the manual, there are instruction for using 2 of them: I have to set a different ID for each machine, internally (in the controller itself), then the computer sees it as 2 different controllers... Might be the same with Oxygen8, don't you think ?

Best,
amo

Interesting indeed...I'll look into that, never thought of that. Thanks...
