Would be cool to be able to drag and drop REX and RX2 files (Propellerheads) since I've a bunch of samples I would love to use with Live and can't.

Thanks,

Simon.

importing REX files into the Impulse would be real nice.

I would certainly love to be able to import my rx2 files into live, spent the last year chopping up most of my audio to get it into RMX. But from what I remember reading, I don't think this capability is high on the developers list.

Don't you see, that REX-Files have become useless, since Ableton 5 has got a warp function which adjusts the tempo itself without transponating it?!

So you could just record your REX-Files to a WAVE-File and load it in Live.

Another possibilty would be to use the ReWire mode...

rex files are not just about playing a loop time-streched, but about playing the sections of a loop, in whatever order you wish aswell.

true that you can chop up wavs rather nicely in live, but what about those of us who also use or have used reason and have large sound libraries in rex format?

it would be nice to be able to use those without having to go back and turn EVERY. FREAKIN. ONE. into a wav... already did the work. don't wanna have to do it again...

the annoying thing is that other products, such as Phatmatik pro, have ways of saving the slice info, while keeping the file in .wav format - really cool, and such a glaring omission from the reCycle format is horrible...

But yeah, I'm all for implementing a bunch of these things - it'll steal customers away from the Prop's and such, which is nice ;)

I just wish they'd concentrate their effort on bugfixing and doing other cool stuff instead of supporting some format that for me makes no sense inside of live , especially since live offers you many ways of slicing up your own audio . . .

this whole rex thing can be done with plugins anyway . . .

in short , it would needlessly bloat the app
