Hi,

Please help. I cannot seem to select my Mackie Control Universal using Live 5.0.3.

The unit works fine with Logic in Logic control mode but when I restart it under Mackie Control mode and select Mackie Control in the preferances dialogue of Live (I'm using OS X 10.4.4) the unit doesn't respond. I set the in/out in the preferances dialogue to the correct midi port and nothing happens. I would expect the unit to reset the faders and display the two channels (the defult tracks upon opening live)in the lcd. I have tried to open Live first and then start the MCU and vice-versa. I've even trashed the preferances files.

What am I doing wrong?

Do you have those MIDI ports set to ON in the Devices menu above Remote Control? They probably have to also be enabled to allow the handshake or whatever the DAW does initially with the MCU.

Did you ever get this resolved? I have a new MCU coming in a couple days and hope I don't have this same issue with Live 5.2
