TRACK FOLDERS IN LIVE

I really would like to be able in LIVE to manage tracks in folders.
For ex. If I have several track for the DrumSet I could make a DrumSet folder and close it when I don't need to see all the drum tracks. Just to have more free space for other tracks.. and organize better my set.. ;)

That would be great!

Maybe better Clip Folders.
I could have Folders with a Remix of a song, like adding Loops to a song
that could be triggered as one folderclip.

One more thing. Maybe it would be a great feature if i had
the opportuniy to use virtual (folder exclusive) tracks, i mean not the normal tracks 1 and 2
and so on, because then i could not have a different mix for a folder,
and that would be a important point for having folders for Remixes.

Containers.... Using NLE video, I've come accross these in Pinnacle Liquid - Basically you select multiple objects in a timeline and create a container. Thjis then appears as a clip. you can step into the contaioner and see the arrangement inside it and even edit it. Step out and see that collection arranges with other clips and/or containers... I'm waffling..

So you mean in Live it wouyld be nice to have the ability to group tracks and their clips, make this into it's own object (rather like mixing down but without actually mixing it down!) which looks and behaves like a clip.. maybe a special track type would be needed... I waffle again..

Another example of this idea in practice is Flash - a flash movie more than often contains multiple movies within it, and those movies can also contain movies, and on and on and on..

I just put a request for tabs like a web broswer that could be names & drag & dropped to the browser, selected by a key or midi, etc...

Would this do the trick?

I also want folder tracks, they are really needed if your project exceeds a certain amount of tracks.

And the clip-grouping-objects would also be very helpfull.

Track grouping...

That's what is really missing for me as well... Not exactly track folders, but track grouping, like a meta-track that can contain several individual tracks, but can in turn act as a separate track, have its own effects, adjust volume, panning, etc.
A really useful function in complex arrangements, present in most high-end sequencers like cubase or logic. The only thing I am really missing when I use live as a traditional sequencer.

And why not be able to map everything on the screen to MIDI or keyboard? Track settings, folder views, menu items... Oh yeah, and a shortcut to the preferences dialog!!
I d really like to keep my hands off the mouse while I am playing live...

i think track folders would be essential in Live if you consider all the workarounds posted on the 'bugs and problems' forum for resampling tracks when rendering or freeze do not work
