As some of you may already be aware, Ableton conceptualist Robert Henke (aka Monolake), will be taking the long haul Down Under to visit Australia in February for an east coast tour, Starting in
Melbourne, followed by Sydney and then Brisbane and northern NSW.

In addition to performing as Monolake, Robert will be conducting a series of Live clinics in a number of music stores in all three cities. For anyone at all interested in Live, or even electronic music in
general, this is a rare opportunity and really not to be missed.

These clinics are also a perfect opportunity to kick start the local Live user groups which will be meeting regularly after these events, and by meeting other Live users in your area you can exchange ideas with the organizers on how, when and where they should be held and what they should consist of - and of course get your name on the list!

I posted this in another thread, but I just noticed this one and feel it's more appropriate for this post to be here...

============================================

As you may all know Robert will be doing his thing at Frigid, Bar Broadway, Spank Records and Billy Hydes in the next few weeks.

This will kick start the Live user group meets in Sydney and I would like to extend an invite to all of you who are keen to hang out with other Live-heads to join us late February at the V-bar, corner of Pitt and Liverpool Street's in Sydney.

The exact date is to be confirmed, but we are looking quite likely at the 28th of February.

So if you like beer, a beautiful bar and of course ...Live, please either stay tuned on this thread, or send me a private message with your email address to receieve a notification in respect to the final dates.

If you are at the sessions with Robert, grab yourself a flyer with details and map.

Hey - Im involved in Monolakes visit to Oz - at the Earthfreq party he'll be playing an afternoon set through a 50K system ... sooo can't wait.

Sorry I didnt see this before to say anything about the park - which is my baby - Robert showed up and played for 3+hours, jamming with dj's and by himself.

For a livemix keep an eye out for JJJ Fm's MixUp of Monolake (and Andy VAZ!!)
- the session was dynamite!!

Well it was cool to see Robert do a demonstration of Live earlier tonight.

He went through the basics and stuff which was good. The advanced stuff he went through was really awesome for me. He showed us a set which he had made that was Live set up as an emulation of the TC Finalizer and a mod of that which turned Live into a PSP Vintagewarmer... Robert if you check this.. you know I want a copy of those ALS files...

The overall vibe was one of Robert showing us Live from his perspective as opposed to a marketing presentation.

There were close to 100 people there, which is quite a big crowd for this kinda thing so all in all it was great.

Thanks Robert.
