hello!

I bought a new soundcard this week, the M-Audio FW Audiophile for use in connection with ableton live 5.

I'm completly new to this topic.

Can anybody tell me how to deal with it in ableton in order to use two channels, one for master and one for monitoring.

I had tried a couple of hours, but it didn't work.

thanks in advance

It's rather simple !

Hi,

It's rather simple to setup your M-Audio Audiophile FW on live. First, verify in the Audio Preferences if you've previously selected the 2 channels (1/2 & 3/4, both in stereo mode)
Secondly, on the session view, be sure that your Master Out is selected on 1/2 Out ; then select the Cue Out on 3/4.
This works fine...
Have fun !

thanks

but there is another problem, I did it the way you told me, but ableton does not start playing.

I don't know what to do?

Ok...

have you selected previously the soundcard in the ASIO driver preference in Preference Panel ?

Well perhaps I don't understand you right, but when I change my audio preferences in ableton to asio, the programme won't play any soundfile.

Right...
