I know! He had a cool pedal that cut up his guitar. Loved how he left the stage with his guitar still fading in & out. Price rocks!

fuck man... that was an awesome performance! And the band is insane as always.

that would be a tremolo pedal.

Tremolo pedal, I thought it was an Ebola pedal cuz it sounded sick!

yeah, I thought it was pretty cool too--can't say that the songs themselves were all that though(I kinda though the singing on the second one with him and the female vocalist at the same time was just too damn much at once, and the chord structure was very "Prince"--feel like I've heard it all before). But whatever, dude can definitely play many an instrument and definitely ripped it up on the strat. If I had to bet I would say he was using a Line 6 delay pedal (the green one) or maybe the blue modulator one to get the cut-up sounds. The guy clearly has fun on stage, and was using the hell out of the whammy bar and distortion--much better than the indie can't-play-my-instrument emotive depressing garbage that has been on there as of late--finally some people that can actually play.

the keyboard guy was actually boasting two of them, one of which appeared to be the new one, brought along, stuck up somewhere high for display purposes only, like that big-ol' rack of synths the Chemical brothers always drag around...

Thanks for posting that video link.
All I heard all day was "Did you see Prince?" "Did you see Prince?"
Now I have and he rocked. Good to see that he's back on it. Musicology was cool but that new song is a song-song... if you follow my drift.
