Will do. I like the all-in-one concept. Plus it's fully upgradeable unlike any other keyboard workstation out there.
I already have all the kick ass software I need (including Live 5). Miko is the final piece of the puzzle.

woah...I would have just gone for a typical audio interface, laptop, and midi controller. That thing just looks like an oversized fisherprice toy and don't think I'm harping on it. I'm just really skeptical of "All in one" pieces of hardware.

I hope it works out for you though.

it looks cool. the current pics seem quite different from before, but i may be cursed by poor memory

the rendered pics are kind of funny! the one where the keyboard is sitting under that huge flatscreen in the living room - just a 3-octave keyboard so it looks like the white keys are each 2" wide

they would be my main two concerns.....the ad/da is the most important part of a computer setup, for purists at least (or for me at least), so I want to be able to use whatever soundcard I see fit....and the firewire400 is limited unfortunately.....

tho if you have no problems with cash, you could always get a protools hd system with an apogee rosetta 800 and the xfirewire card to interface the rosetta or rosettas to protools

now that would be a monster you'd have on your hands

For my needs and the way I work, they are perfect.

Hell I'm using a 3yr old basic Creative Labs Planitum audio card now on my PC so the audio side of things on the Miko is miles ahead of what I'm used to.

If it were somehow a mac I'd go for one.

It needs more faders,knobs,and buttons though.

That's a presonus firebox front panel on the bottom left. Didn't notice that in the spec list. Bad paste job ; ) Says 410 in the list I think. Did the inventor not realize what audio interface they pasted on the collage?

Ah, firewire 400. Thought it said 410. nevermind.

The picture looks weird there where the firebox is, like it was pasted on the picture. For a second I thought it wasn't real.

other than the OS its not much different to the new macs.

Ouch, they sting you on the 'upgrade' costs... not as bad as Apple does, but still. I think I'll stick to sourcing my own components for upgrades, but I understand that this approach isn't for everyone.

Good luck with that thing, although I would prefer to go the usual 'component' method, I can definitely see the advantage of getting an 'integrated' solution. I use my computers for a lot of other things, so it's obviously not in my best interests to get such a device.

I wonder how loud/hot it is?

Meanwhile, even though I can't afford to upgrade my PC at the moment, if I could I would wait until the new Intel dual core CPU is out... that looks like one sweet momma CPU they've got there.
