when i reopen the GUI of most of UAD-1 plugins, i see Ableton Live5 GUI under the space near every pot (a squary space, because the pot need rotation certainly)...

i notice it with : cambridge EQ, EX-1, 1176 LN, and other plugin that i dont remind...

this is not a big problem bacause the sound is very good but i will be happy if this would be fixed...

( Excuse me for my bastard english language, i'm a froggy frenchy one :D )

I just got an UAD-1 installed it yesterday - best compressor and EQs I have ever had my hands on, hard or soft.

I also have the bug, thought it was the videocard went to the shop bought a new one (had to anyway, old one was doing weird shit with SoundForge)

No joy.

hmm? Will email Universal Audio & Ableton about it.

Anyone noticed the following NAAAAAAAASTY probs with the UAD and Live?

Cambridge: If I move the HC (hi-pass-filter) knob at the default filter type I frequently get a LOUD blast of digital noise. I'm talking speaker-blowing ear-damaging loud here. The filter just kind of explodes. The freq response display also goes weird.

Plate 140: When using the EQ module, upon boosting the hi-shelving EQ I get a loud click promptly followed by the huge blast of digital noise.

These bugs are doing my ears, monitors and nerves no good :? Can anyone replicate? Probs are more likely to happen at high-ish cpu load.

I got the loud blast with the Cambridge today.
need to be emailing Ableton & UAD about these things.

I also get pops & clicks now (CPU and DSP are both low)

Tried: Moving audio card & UAD from PCI slots 1 & 5 to
slots 2 and 4 (I have an Abit mobo read about IR sharing...)

Tried: "Plugin as audio buffer" in preferences, audio buffer smaller & larger.

Anyone got any good tips? Might try & reinstall everything. Will be good opportunity to throw away stuff I don't use.

Although it's clearly not good news it's reassuring that someone's experienced the loud blast (it's pretty scary isn't it?!!). Did you get it upon tweaking the low pass filter too?

Only had it once it was screaming total digital freakout :D
Was with Cambridge could well have been the highpass filter.

I finally have crackle and pops now!!!!! Ableton's CPU meter is a at an all time low because the UAD is doing it's thang, and it's crackle all over the place sometimes with only 2 audio tracks running!!!!

How's yours? Any ideas?
