hi, i have loaded some synth plug ins into my directory & live can load em no probs. do i need to use midi files rather than wav files? all my samples & loops etc are wav & dont work! im very new to live & think its great, ive only used samples to make tunes but now want to make my own samples but not gettin there! please help. alan

Synth plugs need midi to play (if they are not self-playing like some sound machines...)

In Live you may:
- Drag a midi file into the track that holds the plug (making a midi clip)
- Or create a midi clip from scratch in the same track
- Or get midi from an outboard controller keyboard routed to the same track
- Or, just to check it out, get midi from the computer keyboard activated for the same track

I'm sure this is all in the manual, though.
