so maybe you could right click on a knob and set a number from say...0.0001 to 10 or whatever...so you could have the pitch on the simpler controlled by a midi fader and have it glide rather than jump from note to note or have the freq on the filter jump in steps rather than be smooth...etc...

I second. Something as simple as "hold shift and rotate for fine increments" would be helpful. I have this problem because I run in a high resolution and my mouse sensitivity is set rather high with no accelleration (aka "increase mouse precision") options enabled. This is how I use my mouse and I just can't do it any other way. But because of it, when I move my cursor it will sometimes move 2 or 3 pixels at a time. I also have this problem when adjusting VST plugin parameters, since even with the keyboard I have no fine control. On a slider that goes from, say, -60db to +10db, hitting the arrow key moves way more than 1db. Very irritating.

yah definitely would be great for shift plus mouse for fine detail, but to set it also for midi control or automation would be awesome too!

Oops! Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your wishlist

I misunderstood slightly. But, yea, if that would also work to scale midi controller input that would be great.
