MIDI editor - momentary edit/draw mode switch

I'd like to have a modifier that will invert the "draw mode" option. For example, if I'm in draw mode and I want to move some notes around, it would save me some time and work if I could just hold shift to temporarily go into edit mode to select and drag some notes, then release shift and be back in edit mode. CTRL-B is not much to type, but it still requires a certain amount of hand stretching and posture.

You can get this with Mackie Control emulation. It's not momentary, but it's at least faster. Set up a button on yr midi controller to send the right note value on Ch 1 with that controller set as a Mackie Control source in Preferences, and you can turn draw mode on & off with a button press. You can also open/close the browser & clip windows, toggle device/clip view, and more:

Ah, cool, thanks! I'll give that a shot when I get a chance.

You can also simply hit the 'KEY' learn button and assign the edit button to a single key on your keyboard so you don't have to use a 2 key shortcut.

I didn't realize there was an "edit" button... I thought it was only available through menus and hotkeys. As long as it toggles, then I'm happy. Thanks!
