Live 5.2 Beta: "This version of Rewire is too old"

When starting Live 5.2 Beta (OS X 10.3.9, non-Intel), the message appears that "This version of ReWire is too old for this implementation of Live. No ReWire devices will be available." The message actually appears before the beta expiration notice, if that helps.
I'm up to date with Reason (3.04), and haven't changed anything else in my config - ReWire is working fine in 5.0.3, both as master and as slave.

Yep,

It just jacked my Reason 3.0.4 in too.

'Can not open ReWire2 System'

'Please make sure you have the right ReWire version installed'

Repaired permissions and restarted the comp but still no lucky.

Would be great to have Rewire2! Makes MIDI possible from host to slave :)

I think you can do that with midiPipe?

On the other hand...

I'd just like to be able to LAUNCH Reason with 5.2 on my machine.

I got Reason back but had to drop 5.2 and re-install Reason from scratch.

Grrrr...

Would those of you who have this problem please send me their Live logs? You can find it at /Users/<yourname>/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 5.2b3/Log.txt. Directly to me at [email protected], please.

Also, is your account an admin account?

Hi Stefan,

Yep, I'm an 'admin'.

Sorry I can't send you the log but I wiped EVERYTHING that had to do with 5.2 off my drive.

To be honest, considering Live didn't actually crash I never even really thought about sending the log.

Sorry,

R.

Wrote this in ´General´as well...: Well...did a search for rewire in finder... And deleted ALL entries containing rewire. Incl my protools rewire (called Digirewire). Reinstalled reason + protools... And guess what... Now im up and running again...

Sure, sending log and im logged in as admin...

OK, I found the problem; on systems older than 10.4, Live 5.2b3 installs a corrupt ReWire library. I'll fix that as soon as I can.

(No more Live logs for now, thank you. :-)

this ReWire issue should be fixed within the latest 5.2 beta.
Please check the announcement: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34572
