I am running Live with FLstudio6 as a plugin, and synchronizing an ARP sequencer to live via a Kenton Pro-2 midi-vc interface.
When I run live with no delay synchronization, the ARP syncs in time with ableton but not with FL studio. (hardware syncs, software doesn't)
When I run live with delay sync on, all plugins and software works perfectly, but my hardware is OFF. it syncs but the beat is not matched anymore.
I have been struggling with this for a while and finally identified the problem as being the delay compensation setting.
Please advise. If I can get all 3 to finally sync I will be dancing for joy.

Hi taikowaza,

you can delay the MIDI clock stream for the desired MIDI port in Live's MIDI preferences.
So you activate the Delay Compensation to get everything within Live into sync and then setup the delay for the desired MIDI output port until your external hardware is in sync too.

Hi Alex and thanks for the reply.
I am aware of the midi delay output setting box.
I have been experimenting with it for a while and I cannot get the correct setting to syncronize properly.
is there a way to tell exactly how much delay is required-
ie. can I make a test (such as the audio latency test) to determine how much MIDI delay is required?
the reason for this is that I have been experimenting endlessly with different settings but I am never as satisfied as when the delay latency switch is off.
I really want them to lock together 'in the pocket' as it were.
if I can get an exact decimal value for my system it would be perfect.
