i was trying to activate my VSTplugins, and whenever the application loads it crashes...it keeps scanning for VST files, and always finds a new .dll and fails...I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it keeps happening...any ideas?

Empty your vst folder and restart Live.
If it starts up then, it means you have a dodgy plugin.

Try to isolate and delete/update the plugin that causes this.
