Guys...
Please help. I would like to route audio from my Pioneer CDJ 1000 into Ableton Live for two reasons. First, I would like to use the efx on Ableton for the live audio stream from CDJ , and secondly to play some drum loops or synth with the live stream from CDJ...
Provided that I am using a low latency sound card with 1 input and 1 output
Is this possible??? Please help..
Thanks

route the RCA's of the CDJ1000 into the Inputs of your soundcard and then off you go. The fx addition will be easy, just assign a channel to the CDJ1000 music going into Ableton but the syncing will not be made automatically.

Thanks for your input...
I am looking for a midi keyboard to act as a sound card. Would you guys suggest any good one with low lantency? Or any external sound card?
Thanks

Had this discussion a while back and there should be a way of connecting the CDJ using Midi (I'm certain we talked about it having Midi, same as the EFX500) therefore connecting the tempo's of both together. Search the forum, there's a post somewhere on it.

No the cdjs don't have midi. the efx 500 and 1000s do, tho. I just looked it up to make sure and realized that pioneer has revamped the 800s and 1000s to mk2 amd mk3, respectively. They play mp3s now. Glad i waited to buy a second deck.
