Looking for a small 8-10 input mixer for touring etc. The soundcraft compact series look pretty cool. Soundcraft usually have great sounding stuff. Anyone have any experience with these or any other suggestions?

I know one

Definetily the one of the Mackie Onyx series.

alesis multimix 8 firewire. decent mixer. good sound. very compact.

i should note that i seem to be having issues with detached drives running thru their firewire ports though. i'm getting a new hub and i'll see if its the mixer or the port and report back.

other than the drive issues, its been an awesome studio tool.

I love anything by Soundcraft in the Compact series.
The newer Yamaha Mixers are pretty nice also.
Though I still have a Mackie 1202VLz pro at home along with the Soundcraft myself (though I don't use it anymore).
Lend it too the neighbours son occasionally who play's Guitar/Bass and has just got a PC.

I would seriously recommend the Soundcraft M8 or M12.
Grab one quick as they are discontinuing this range!!
