Arming multiple tracks...help please!

Hi

Using Live 5 comprehensively for live gigs.

Here's the problem: I want to use multiple live audio inputs. (eg a vocal in and a simultaneous guit in.)
it's possible to arm multiple tracks using the mouse while holding down Ctrl, but otherwise, Live will arm the selected track and automatically disarm any other armed tracks... and it's not possible to play guitar, use a mouse, and hold ctrl at the same time!
Using Ctrl in conjuction with midi triggers doesn't work either...though that doesn't surprise me :)

How can I get around this?

Using an FCB1010 as my controller...

any help please!

thanks

google up bome's midi translator and midiOX. If you need to get trickier then that (you dont to do this) check out something like pd (pure data). All of those are free and for PC.

Hi,

In the Misc pane of the preferences, you have to set the Exclusive Arm button off. Then you'll be able to arm multiple tracks without a modifier key.
Then Inductive's advice about Bome Midi Translator is usefull if you want to assign one button to arm several tracks at once.

Best,
