CLIPS:
- Ability to do splits and consolidation in session view
A split in session view should place the new remains in empty slots in the session track.
- A trim function (destructive)
- Soloing of selected clip in session/arr
- Clip button "Loop" should do both warp and loop, so that you don't have to push warp first.
- Simple way tro set Start/end marker to loop start and Loop region to start/end
- Fast option in warp box to set the BMP to that of the current set
- Audio overdub for audio clips!
- Option to play the "tail" (from loop end to end marker) when key is released

GENERAL:
- Assigning info to clips, scenes, markers, sets, files etc that is displayed in the Live info area and can be edited there.
- Scripting/macros as editable clips. Controller clips/tracks.
- Text copy/paste from/to Live should use the system clip board
- Rewire slave mode should handle VST(i)'s
- Randomize/mutate options for built in instruments/effects
- More follow actions like "any except me" and the timing of the action easy to set to the clips length and/or the end marker pos.
- Follow actions for the locators in arrangement and for scenes
- Controller key for selecting part of clip in arrangement without having to expand the track.
- Next/prev - Fast Forward/Rewind - wrap around at endings please
- Grid visible even when snap is off (more faint gray maybe)
- Copy whole tracks
- Always create new tracks when dragging clips/files/devices to empty space. Now it is not the case when dragging a clip from arrangement to empty space in session etc.

CONTROLLER CURVES/AUTOMATION:
- Timing of clip envelopes should be free from main tempo. Should be option to follow clip tempo or independant tempo.
- Clip envelopes should have the option to be absolute instead of always relative
- Recording of envelopes in clips
- CC automation fills the Undo buffer. Changes made by automation should perhaps not be stored in the buffer.
- Some editing tools like:
* Invert
* Stretch/contract
* Expand/compress
* Mirror
* Move up/down/forward/back
- Support all vst parameters for automation and not just the first 128.

BROWSER:
- Let user choose how many folders to have buttons for
- When dragging clip + track plug chain to browser, a new thing is created.
Only when changing name to a previous changed clip I get the option to replace the old with the new. Make it a simple "Do you want to replace..."
- When dragging alc files to the header of an existing track, this should replace the track, not just fill it with the clips from the alc.
- Quick find when keyboard letters are pressed

ROUTING:
- We can tap the midi from an "audio to audio and midi plugin" to a track by choosing the plugs midi out as midi in.
This goes for several plugs in a row as well (all though it may be confusing if thay have the same name - a [1], [2] added to the names would be good).
But this does not apply to audio to audio plugs!
Say you have Operator with a delay plug and a reverb. You can not tap the audio from Operator or the delay or the reverb, just the track audio as a whole.
- Midi controll from internal midi as if external and more then one target for a midi/key controller assignment.

INSTRUMENTS/EFFECTS
- I'd like a combined ring modulator and vocoder...
- Open Live's instruments for live audio input as Absynth does

These would be really good especially having absolute envelopes fro VST parameters. Since the relatvie automation never plays it back like it first sounded

You should add to this to support all vst parameters for automation and not just the first 128.

I haven't read it completely through but there some things I think of a lot.
If it's in your list don't bother.

-Freezing multiple tracks at once: select freeze-buttons, a dialog comes up after first push on a freeze button saying 'Start freezing selected tracks' (saves time)
-a 'render all tracks seperately'-function or a 'render selected tracks seperately' (saves time)
-for previous' function to work, we must be able to select more than 1 track at a time...which we now can't...?

-Editing frozen tracks: if a frozen track becomes audio, why not threat it as audio so we can edit it as audio. I understand this might give problems unfreezing the track, maybe I should rename it as 'freeze selected part'. So that audio parts can be edited as audio, and midi as midi, this would give much more options. Freezing is useless if a song starts to break up even when you haven't started your arrangement...following me?
-A button for de/-activating vst/au effect plugins (not instruments) to free up cpu power

That's it for me...

Oh right yeah! Silly me I thought he ment it was already done as in already in Live 5.

This list is getting good. What happens to wish lists and request around here? Do the Abletons take any serious notice of the suggestions on them? Or is it just an area to note down some dreams
