Why not just use the demo so you don't have to worry (as long as you are not saving anything in the end it should work fine for playback).

And - your friend should really purchase the software - especially if he is making money gigging with it.

This has got to be one of the lamest posts I've ever read here.

Sorry gregpharez, but if you can't figure out why it's a bonehead thread, then maybe you need to think about the fact that the developers of the software you're friend is using to ply his craft read these forums.

I for one do not want to see Ableton turn to PACE or a dongle for protection, and people like your friend will lead them that way, so great job of rubbing it in the Ableton developers faces that not only are people cracking their software, but they are playing live, and maybe even making money off of the crack.

What the fuck happened to ethics? :?

Yeh, I was aware of that. But you'd have to be living on mars if you didnt think the abe's dont see these cracked/warez'd versions of Live littered all over the net.

I paid for my software, and am merely asking if I can expect my performance partner to be reliable. Relax a bit yea?
You're asking if the Abes copy protection is reliably cracked in the latest version of their software, on their forums, because you're partner is stealing their software, and you want to know if the crack is "safe"? You really have no clue do you?

Do I have to break it down for you? First off, all developers know their software gets cracked, but they reasonably think it's a safe bet that people will respect them enough not to rub it in their face. Unfortunately people sitting behind little screens tend to make choices based on their needs, not anybody else's, so people like you want to know on THEIR FORUMS, whether or not a crack is "working".....because they don't want to have a bad show, sob, boo hoo, gee whiz guys relax golly wilkers! and really, it's because my "partner" is using a crack, but he's so dope!
YOU and your friend are the main reason that music software has some of the most hardcore copy protection of any code out there. I'm not even virulently anti crack, people sometimes need to learn what they want before they get smart and go legit, but people like you, with no clue what so ever of how arrogant, egotistical, and self centered you are, make me almost physically ill. You truly believe that somehow it's OK to ask how the crack is holding up, because you "paid for your software".... it's mind boggling, the lack of logic in your thinking.

It's ok dude....

They won't put a dongle on, they don't work, and fade is working great.

This guy will buy when he can, he has to, all will be good, no need to throw up.
