bottom line .. ableton live 5 & MPC1000 in sync?

hello all,
i am trying to get ableton to sync with my mpc1000 and there are some serious timing issues. whenever i press play or change song position on the mpc, ableton will change bpm briefly. ive read the forums and have found this is a common issue.. but in all of the posts no one actually gets their issue solved. so i'm asking, has anyone here sync'd ableton as a slave to their mpc1000 and if not how are they working around it??
