Simpler pitch bend range

I might be stupid, but standard seems to be 2 seminotes. I want to be able to change that as I please. Like in any other synth made since the beginning of digital music software.

Yes, why is this stuck at +/- 5 semitones? Seems totally arbitrary to me. I use MIDI guitar and being able to adjust for pitch-bend data ranges is very important in this regard. The range can be altered in Sampler and Operator, but not Simpler.

Any chance that this could be 'fixed'? Seems like it would be an easy thing to do.

Argh... there's my answer. Without being able to adjust the pitch bend, my guitar synth can't trigger operator and simpler without horrible results. C'mon guys, give us the option.

+1 another midi guitarist feeling fully left out in the cold. I squinted at the stupid thing for ten minutes before google brought me here. I'm fantasizing that this can somehow be fixed with M4L, but I doubt I'll be the one..

Here's how I do it:
Make sure you do the trimming/looping of your WAV within the simpler before changing the pitch range.
right-click the nameplate of the simpler instrument, at the bottom of the right click menu click simpler>sampler.
Now click on the "Midi" tab of the sampler instrument, and slide the pitch fader from +1 to +24 (I like 24).
Now just right-click on the nameplate of the sampler instrument and click sampler>simpler.
You will notice that your WAV is now in multi-sample mode and unable to be edited at this point.
Enjoy using the simpler with the proper amount of freedom!

Hi, just wrote a little patch resp. midi effect in M4L which can rescale incoming pitch bend values.
If you have an instrument which has a fixed +/-5 semitones of range and you want to have it on +/-2 semis, choose from=5 and to=2 semitones.
To actually make it work to upscale a range depends on the incoming signal and the instrument. Try it out!

You can midi map your pitch bend wheel to the transpose in simpler. Then you can set it to what you want in the midi map editor.

Hi , guys !
I was just wondering if U will have that new option in Simpler : Pitch Bend Range .
Oh, and please, if U could add Warp inside of Sampler too !!!
Thank U Ableton devs !
