Clip volume bugs anyone?

Has anyone else noticed this problem? Say I have a clip playing. The clip output level is adjusted nicely so that the track and master levels peak at 0 db. I want to use say for example an EQ3 effect on the clips track so I drag it there, make sure all EQ levels are at unity and turn it on. As soon as I turn on the EQ3, the track and master volume levels jump way into the red by up to 6 db on some audio clips!! So after carefully setting the peak output levels for hundreds of clips I now have to lower all their levels by up to 6 db all over again just so that I can use an EQ3?!!

The same thing happens when I change from beats warp mode to re pitch or complex. The levels go into the red.

Any ideas?

It happens to me in arrange screen. I managed to replicate it by adjusting clip volume in the clip window and clicking on top of the arrangement to begin play from that point. The clip waveform gets big and the clip volume goes top.

wouldnt the change of gain be caused by the filters in the 3EQ?
try changing the dB slope of the filters or using the 4EQ, which IMO does not alter the sound as much as the 3EQ...

could also be the same when you change the time stretching mode, some of them just interpret the waveform differently...

altho +6dB seems quite a lot!

How about using the utility plugin with the eq3?
Saves you allot of work
