my resampled audio clip ( from a midi track) is late. when i try to adjust with track delay i'm not hearing any changes, as if the function is not working. i've tried playing with OVERALL LATENCY, nothing changes. how could it not be dead on????? the other presently similar midi thread didn't seem to help me.

A few things that may help you:
1. Make sure PDC [plug in delay compensation] is on. Without it the track settings do not work, and also Live won't compensate for the VSTi latency.
2. Try it out with another VSTi plug-in. Some plug in devices report back the wrong delay back to the host and Live will get confused. I have to say I haven't ever come across this though.
3. If its a rewired device that you are sampling, then these will be late because of the way Live handles rewired inputs. I normally resample with PDC off to ensure the smallest delay, and then turn it back on, and then use the track delay setting to pre-delay the audio channel.

Hi Gary, yeah what Synthbuilder said, make sure Delay Compensation is checked in the Options menu. It seems you have to turn it on for each new song you create, then it stays on after that.
cheers,
