yo when i have some cuts ive made in the arrangment view, i find that the timing goes out a lil when i consolidate, any particular reason for this?

for instance i have three snare hits ive chopped out of a beat and placed in a bar, i highlight the three slices and consolidate, after the beats are off timing

Never seen that one before!
Make sure that the original hits didn't have Warp and Loop selected. No idea if that would help, but worth a try.

maybe youre talking about what i've seen - after chopping, visually, it looks like the waveform changes, but it doesnt. really strange.

its a mojor pain in the ass. when i record into the arrangement view, triggering midi clips, it happens that the midi notes overlap. i have to reedit them to have it right...
