i have a powerbook g4 1.67 ghz w/ 1 gb ram
using live 5.03

i'm running 8 stereo tracks and peaking around 70- 80 % cpu load causing sluggishness, audio hiccups at loops, and overall unreliability.

any suggestions to lighten the load?

i'm thinking, maybe convert the stereo tracks to mono, how do i do this...

unless there are other suggestions.

thanks

i'm assumining audio tracks?
make sure warp mode is set "beats" and not "complex"

any help?

if you'r running 8 midi tracks that sounds about right..time to freeze or resample into audio.
