Real time Audio-MIDI or simple VST host for OS X

Trying to accomplish the following:
using InTime as a Sync Master for Live 5,
InTime would be getting midi notes from live drums through a Audio-Midi converter
that's the plan at least
found a great soft - KTDrumTrigger. Seems to work great, but its a VST plug in, but I need to run outside of Live.
So I need another Audio-Midi conversion soft for OSX or a way to run KTDrum as a stand-alone. I am fine with a demo, just nothing with any random notes or notes, I am just trying to figure out if I can get this to work.
Am I correct in my understanding of my issues? Other suggestions. Thanks all...
