Dual Monitors Rock!

Its kind of obvious, but it wasn't til I got a second 15" monitor (for free!) and hooked it up that I realized I can't live (or gig) without 2 monitors now. If you run live and reason (or anything else) together, the two monitor system is absolutely indespensible. Or if you have live sets with tons of tracks, just being able to see all at once is awesome.

For you Mac OSX guys out there ... try CodeTek Virtual Desktop -
I have a Viewsonic 20" LCD monitor ( I convinced myself that I needed it due to the electromagnetic hum induced in my guitar's pickups using a standard monitor ... )
With CodeTek's Virtual Desktop, I can have Live running on one screen, and Reason's Rack on a second, and Reason's Sequencer running on a third -- add a few more virtual screens ( up to 100 !!! if you're really crazy ), and you can have Acrobat reader and Your Favorite Browser displaying all your documentation for ready reference.
It seems excessive until you realize how it can really streamline your workflow and especially give you a window into the documentation.

Question, which is better or would you rather have?

1 22" monitor with a viewable of 21"s
or
2 15" monitors dual display

i'd say duals all the way, but thats just me. Definitely dual if you rewire much or often have two apps at once. For setups sake i think that two different size monitors would be bad, so i'd say getting two 15s from the get go is a smart plan, but thats just my 2 cent

I'd really say whatever your hardware supports - a wall of information and whatever allows you to get to what you need - two physical monitors arei always better than one ... the virtual thing allows multiple screens in a small studio space ... extra monitors are cheap enough these days, and probably free if you look around ... just make sure that you put on your lead underware and sunglasses if you get too many going at once <g>.
