I found my old dongle and I'm going to put OS9 on my old iBook tomorrow and use it as an R3 sound source. R3 was nice. You couldn't make your own interface widgets but at least it bloody worked...
R5 might be fantanbulous, I wouldn't know, but fuck me sideways with a rusty garden rake if I'm ever going to give them as much as a penny again. Buggy software, lousy tech support, and then they go and add Core and make a paid update instead of giving us a version of the software that does what it said on the box I paid for 4 fucking years ago. NI are the perfect example of how the current business model of software turns users into hostages.
I have never had problems with NI stuff. It has always worked with me and suport have always helped me out. It may take a few days, but they have at least always got around to helping me solve the few problems I have had. Sorry Noisetonepause it hasn't been the case for you.
well of course you can. just not in the arrange view. clip envelopes/. wrote:unfortunetally you can not automate tassman 4 if it runs as vst in live
..and using unlinked mode in the clip envelope section you can "easily"
automate Tassman through a whole track.
This is however a bit more awkward than needbe.. definately something
Ableton should look into.. give us the option to use midi ctrl automation
in arrange view, not just in the clips itself.
I just bought Tassman.. and it`s da bomb.
but so is Reaktor.
Get both!! Buy Reaktor and then go for the Tassman crossgrade.
Superb value for money

That is what I said in the second part of the sentence you quoted... though not as clearly as you did...
I prefer clip envelopes anyway as the midi learn in Tassman can have multiple parameters on one knob or slider along with range and reverse options...
Plus it moves with the clip... obviously
