Losing MIDI and Keyboard Shortcuts

Hi,
When I set up some MIDI and keyboard shortcuts, save the project, and then restart Live, I lose the shortcuts next time I open Live. The weird thing is that I can still see that they are set (by going into MIDI setting mode or keyboard mode and seeing the indication next to the control) but they do not work. I have to set them again and then they work fine (until I restart).
Has anyone else seen this?
I'm using Live5 on a Dell XPS Gen2 laptop with a FW410 and M-Audio Ozone.

that's odd. Try saving the settings as a template (under preferences, general tab, I think) That won't directly fix your problem but it might be a workaround.

More specific details:
I set the fader for a track to be controlled by the first knob on my m-audio ozone. When I do so, I see that the fader has a small note which says "1/1"
However, when I reopen the set, the fader is set to be "1/20"
Same with other settings ("1/2" becomes "1/21" etc.)
Any ideas?

I have been losing control recently as well...its weird
I have a template set up so that I can use my simpler etc and control all the parameters from my controller like hardware but sometimes (It just happened in a tune I just started ) it stops controlling the simpler. I can see the midi control is still being transmitted in the indicators and its when I use my sound presets it happens.
Does anyone know .. is control saved with patches ? (Could it be I am loading a preset which I created before I had setup controllers and its clearing them ? This would seem strange to me)
I think otherwise its quite a serious bug and has happened enough times now.
Anyone know ?

i had this issue using a bcf2000 and an ozone. im not sure if this is your solution, but i had to change all the preset midi channel info for the ozone to another channel other than channel 1, as the bcf also defaults to assigning to channel 1. so each time i restarted ableton, one of the machines would get my channel 1 midi assignments, but the other machine wouldnt of course.
once i mapped the ozone to channel 2 i had no more lost mappings on live restarts.
hope that does it for ya
