where abouts are you? I was in Sth Woodham ferrers and worked in Brentwood and my missus is from BRAAAAINtree

Actually a mate still in Braintree is "force69" on this forum, you could drop him a PM I dont think he comes here often these days

BTW - I thought it was only Darren Emerson from Romford and the others were from somewhere over the west midlands? They sound like Brummies

I actually worked in the studio of an On hold company in Navestock - lovely setting - converted 500 yo barn - not far from the Nuclear bunker you put a photo of on your website! Some interesting tunes there BTW! Nice electro vibe

My missus actually sang on that 1st prodigy album - she's the one going "feel the jungle vibe baby" and "set the music free-ee" :D

I read an article about Depeche mode not long ago where they were saying they wanted to drive down Basildon high street in a Rolls Royce after they got famous. I found that utterly bizarre as I cant imagine anybody of sound mind actually choosing to go to basildon for any reason whatsoever.

Basildon is a black spot on humanity and a band like Depeche mode coming from there is testament to the abject strangeness of life in this universe.

I'm from deepest darkest essex, Burnham-on-Crouch.

Incidentally, Squarepusher is from Chelmsford.

I'm from sunny Basildon and I'd love to know where the High Street is that DM wanted to drive down.
I remember many, many years ago drinking in my local in the town and they were in the pub too, no one blinked an eye.

Basildon's not that bad, but then I am planning to emigrate next year
:D

No offence taken  As I said above, I am hoping to leave the country next year, not just Basildon

My first experience with DM was as a teenager selling my Korg MS10. They came to buy it but I had already sold it. I didn't know how they were at that point.
It was only after they had gone that my neighbour came to me because she recognised who they were, knew I was into synths, and thought I was going to join the band.
