Losing Controller Function Sometimes

I have had my simpler control stop working quite a few times..
Sometimes when I am browsing my presets for simpler sound etc when I have selected one, All controls eg Cutoff, Env stop responding to ext control and I have to use a mouse again. New sets opened are fine again
This has happened quite a few times now and I am beta testing so want to make sure it is not a problem.
Does control have to be set up before a patch is made ?
(Could I be losing control of my simpler because I am changing to a preset which was made before I had a live template? Template I use now with simpler, etc has all controls mapped to my midi Keyboard)
I think it could be a bug ... Anyone from ableton aware of this?

I am having this happen to me all the time with version 5.2, and I thought maybe someone could help me. (Or Confirm that changing patches changes controller settings)
Basically I am losing control of my Live instruments while working on sounds etc.
I have my live impulse, simpler, and Operator all configured so I have control of them from my keyboards. I can adjust the sound, sweep the Cutoff etc using the controls on them. All is good..
But it seems that changing patches or reseting simper to default values causes all the controls to be lost and means either re-configuring the controls or opening a new set is needed to get them back.
When you are just designing sounds, you tend to change patches alot. For example after a simpler patch is sounding good, I will save it and reset simpler through the browser ready for a new sample to be dropped in for editing.
This is why I would prefer default controller assignments for Lives instruments btw so I can just configure my keyboard to send the default CCs and not worry about it.

The reason this happens is this:

When you flick thru presets, you'll occasionally load up a grouped device.
That new group is seen as 1 new device and "overwrites" your MIDI mappings. If you just load up simpler presets that don't have any effects, your MIDI mappings will stay.

Thats it !!!
Thanks alot Hoffman2k I can work without losing control now. Great..
Do you think it would be better if we could also load up presets that are device groups and still have default controls respond on the instrument ?
I would prefer it even if I don't have control of the devices that are bolted on to the instrument.

I may put this into feature requests but first I will try to figure the reasons why it overwrites. I am sure theres probably method there.

Anyway Cheers
