Hi guys/gals,

when using the impulse to program drums i was wondering if its possible to control the length of a sample by the length of the midi file, for example using an open hihat sample, but only playing the start portion of it, but by lengthing the midi file it plays more of the sample, basically what the simpler would do but itn the impulse????? hope this isnt complete jibberish!!

Yes, you can set each pad to "gate" instead of the default mode. Then it will play the sample for as long as your midi note is active.

nice one, tried this but just worked out that you need decay set to minimum 0.05 secs, otherwise it decays , duuur obviously! dont know why i didnt think of this before, thanks again
