With all the regional activity going on, what do you think about coalescing somehow?

may I suggest...

someplace that you would least expect to see a buncha people slamming beats from notebooks?

(and central between the east/west extremes of everyone interested)

just and idea...

:D

Touche! :)

Seriously though, I know everyone's probably doing their own thing. I want to get things going in my own neck of the woods before looking elsewhere. The music scene where i am is just starting to burgeon. But in time definitely. I'm going to europe in the summer so if any people are interested in meeting up and throwing down some ideas lemme know. Berlin sounds nice.

Peace

if you ever come to washington d.c. usa (provided i'm still here)
i'm more than willing to try to help set something up.
that's probably a little more reasonable of an approach to this thread than
trying to organize an international festival.
i think mike just wishes he was at camp ableton.... :P

I'm heading to India/Sri Lanka over the coming winter, with the old portable setup. Ableton Beach party!

DK's on to something...

How's about travelling to each others cities?
Let's say any time we can get 3 of us to roll to the 4th persons town it'll be "whatever you call it" night.

I agree... seems like if you are going to a locale, there is a thread on the forum for that area, post to that forum saying "hey, I'm coming to ____ around _____ what's going on around then?"

Why not pick a cool outdoor festival. And ask for a seperate camping section for Live geeks.
It could work...

Hell, i went to nature one last year (huge festival in germany)... there was more going on on the camping then on the festival ground.
Everybody had their set of 1200 with them

My ears are still hurting...

 the hell part aside :) piggybacking on an existing festival (not necessarily music but attuned to that) seems like a great idea.
