edit: midi is working fine... only audio is dead

edit2: audio is working on live, but i can't use it as unique soundcard

You have to copy the asio drivers from the rme to the asio folder of Live or to any other program you use.Instal the drivers from the rme cd in your hard drive, then copy them to the asio folder of the program you use ableton or cubase........ hope that helps.

Hello 4am,

In fact, selecting a soundcard in Live doesn't disable your onboard soundcard that will play Windows alerts, or any other sound from other apps that may be opened at the same time.

If you mean to only use the RME on the computer, you will have to select it as the default Windows soundcard.

Kind regards,

Amaury

hi,
thank you for your tips!
in the device manager i could not select the rme,
this is due to the lack of mme drivers for the rme on my computer...

so i have contacted rme...

they told me to make some changes in the registry

http://www.rme-audio.com/english/faq/10entrye.htm

i will try this later and let you know
