a friend of mine has them along with the krk 10" sub. he seems to be really happy with em. i think for the money it's a great deal. if he didnt have the sub could be a different story. I personally use event 20/20's and love them. i feel i'm getting a more accurate response with a 8.5" driver

I picked up a pair of rokit 8's about three months ago and I am very happy with them. For the price it is pretty hard to go wrong. I was worried that they sounded to "nice" and feared that that my mixes would not translate well to other systems. But it seems ok so far. If your making dance or any music that has a strong foundation of bass I cannot recommend picking up a pair of larger monitors over a trio setup enough. I mixed with a sub for a three years and moved to the rokits and no sub and when it came to mixing down and sound design it has made a huge difference in the low end. You can't tell if you have phase problems with a mono sub!
Peace
