a mac user, no longer a machead though and I'm jumping ship, tired of being toasted. let me tell you why. First of all most mac users do care about who makes the chip/hardware, it's the main point of every stupid ass mac/pc debate, if you don't then kudos to the enlightened but you will always see the comments "apple makes the os and the hardware so it's better blah blah bah humbug" Bs.
Macs are nice.
apple sucks hemoroids and this is why, they are full of more hot air than a hot air balloon, they've succesfully brainwashed their user base into thinking that
os x is great, core midi, core audio
but windows has had this since win98, of course stability arrived with win2000 and xp- rock solid, but listen to mac users talk like the heavens opened up since we don't have to use oms anymore, and because osx recognizes plug and play periphreals right... big fkn deal, windows has been doing this for ages but you wouldn't know it by all of the hype ass advertiseing and if you listened to people who claim they know what they are talking about on mac bbs's, I've got a friend who is educating me on the pc side of things before I make my leap and it pisses me off to no end
all the propaganda that our mac superiority is based on. we've been duped
another example is Logic, I'm done with that crap cause it suffers from the same ol bs and probably because it's mostly used on the mac check it,
logic is god right, all the pros use it right, Cakewalks Sonar is crap right?
wrong more apple seeds being planted in our asses. Sonar is dead stable on my friends pc and cakewalk has excellent customer service and knows what they are doing, but all I read is how Logic is god and then some body or some add tells you why, it's got this and it's got that, so many new features and sample accurate editing, mix in one window if you want, sync your audio clips together without going into a special editor more blah blah so it's so better than Sonar..... Well will some fkn body please tell me how can this be win Sonars been doin this crap from day 1......
I'd understand if Logic was truly innovative, but they might as well call the fkn program LogicSonar cause all they did was copy Sonar and put in all of Sonars features, that sonar had not only first but way before Logic, cubase, nuendo I mean since day one. BEfore some of you get mad at my post and sling rocks at me do your research first, cause that's what I did and I'm sick of all this hype. Sonar does it all, Did it first way before the others and cost way less, and is very stable but these fkn mac wankers all work for apple and promote apples Bs without even getting compensated.
Now a lot of people are finally coming to their senses, that's why you see alot of post saying yeah if you use logic go with apple, it's fkn funny, it's not even about computers anymore now macs are just dedicated hardware for Logic and that's all they are good for, how rediculous. Steve Jobs is not pimpin me for another fkn coin. all this talk about altivec, all this talk about the new chips, and what osx is going to do for us in the future, have we lost our marbles, do we actualy think microsoft and the pc
market is going to wait until apple, altivec, and the new chips/osx catch up
I don't think so, look at the gap right now, time moves on, in 5 years after osx is so perfect and delicous and the 970chips are muscle bound maniacs
what do we think it's going to be like on the windows side, it'll be fkn incredible and it doesn't take a genius to figure that out, people won't still be using xp, p4's and amd athlons in 5 years it'll be something else way better.
of course this is a long rant, i'm venting so don't point out the obvious, instead do the research and you'll be pissed too. I'm not taking this crap anymore no more apple jacks for me. intel and amd are making computers, steve jobs and apple are making movies.
