go to add/remove programs....and un-install the maudio device.
from there you have two options:
a: get a novation remote sl , and save yourself more maudio related bullshit in the future.
b: re-install the maudio device
if you're broke and you've taken option B , well...there's a good chance re-installing should sort the prob, report back if not!

i had the same problem. first with an alesis photon x25, which i blamed on it's own drivers. the exact situation occured after buying an m-audio axiom25. from there we suspected the bug was living in a dark crevice of my harddrive, so i decided to format.... same problem after reinstallation.
i decided to connect my controller via midi cable, since my m-audio129's midi in showed up in my device menus. i'm still powering through USB, though. everything works fine now.
i think my PSU was only sending enough power through USB to turn on the controller and light up the LCD, but too weak to pull back any signal that my apps would recognise.
try using an A/C adapter or batteries w/ your controller. and if you the creative audigy with midi interface, and it shows up in your device menus, try that.
