Auto Quantise Audio!?

Hello,

Im new to ableton and have created a live looping set up of sorts using a foot controller, turntables and keyboard.

However I cant seem to figure out if there is a way to quantize my recorded audio loops, live and automatically.

I want to record say a couple of hits and if they are a little out of time I want ableton to 'warp'/align it so the hits are shuffled to fit a grid of 1/8 or whatever.

No luck so far - It must be possible right?

you can quantize notes on input (record quantize)
or after they've been recorded (quantize)

index should point you in the right direction to find more info on this

I'm not certain but I thought record quantize was for MIDI only? He wants to quantize audio loops as he records them. Which would be nice, but I don't think it's possible, you would have to record the audio, then autowarp it.

Would love to admit defeat on this one though...

i think your right!

but on that note, ableton is about the only thing that will even let you quantize audio manually.

(after its recorded)

Damn im just going to have to be tight with my live loop recording I suppose.

Ableton Techs get on it!

An option for Audio once recorded into a loop to be quantised to a grid automatically!
