Are you asking how to export them from Reason or how to build a live set?

rewire and record the audio into live 5. under tips and tricks on this website (not the forum) their is something showing you how to rewire the two and record the audio. this is your best bet. Unless you can export all the seperate WAV files/Loops and sequence them in Live.

you can also have live and reason playing together (w/ rewire):
export your midi part from reason, put them on midi tracks in Live (selecting the correponding instrument at the output's live midi track: expl: substractor).
so the midi part in live play the instrument in reason.
last thing to do is to create an audio track in live (input: reason output) and set the monitor on"in").
now, you can still get the control on your reason sounds.
hoping your computer can handle this set

basicaly, i don't see have the reason instrument option in midi from....
but i have them (well, the reason channels) in audio from....
arrgghh, sorry, while writing i think i have found the problem...
i don't have ableton on the front of me (i am at work..) but could it be that i have to choose the reason instrument in "midi to" and not "midi from" ???
is there a "midi to" option on each midi channel?

I have done that in the past. What i did is, instead of rewiring, is export every single sound that comprised my song as loops.
then i inserted it in live 5 with scenes etc etc.

I don't have a keyboard or a midi controller. I Only have my keyboard and mouse and i want to make music with ableton and mix it or better, enchance it with reason. Is that possible?

The fantastic thing about exporting the midi from Reason and using it in Live to play a Reason instrument is all the MIDI effects in live, like Arpeggio, Scale, etc that Reason simply doesn't have.

Hey guys,
So the tutorial on the website tells how to connect old versions of Reason and Live... I have 3.0 and 5 though, and they just don't seem to be working together.
When I open Reason after Live it starts up in ReWire mode, but past that, I can't seem to get the two doing anything together. Can someone please give me some basic instructions? I'd really appreciate that.
Thanks :P

Choweee:
Start Live, then start reason.
On an audio track in Live select the drop-down box for "Audio In" then select "Reason". You're probably best leaving the next box on "1/2: Mix L/Mix R", but you could specify a particular machine or output in Reason if you wanted.
In order to then hear the audio coming from Reason you have set the monitor to "In" so it monitors the input, and not "Auto" which really just wants you to play an audio file.
In order to then use MIDI from Live to play Reason instrument create a new MIDI track in Live, but set the "MIDI To" setting to Reason, then in the next box select the machine you want to control. Make sense?
